A new National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) funding scheme for Clinical Research Facilities (CRFs) for Experimental Medicine competition has now opened. This is a one-stage open competition to renew and refresh NIHR Funding for CRFs for Experimental Medicine.
The purpose of the scheme is to provide NIHR funding to meet the necessary recurrent NHS infrastructure costs of dedicated purpose-built clinical research facilities that are supporting world-class experimental medicine research. The competition will enable current recipients that are successful in fulfilling the criteria to continue to receive NIHR funding. The competition will also give other CRFs for Experimental Medicine that fulfil the criteria, which have already been established and are currently funded from other sources, the opportunity to bid for NIHR funding.
NIHR Funding for CRFs for Experimental Medicine will provide funding to the NHS Trust, over the period 1st September 2012 to 31st March 2017.
The closing date for submission of the applications by the NHS Trusts in England that are interested in being considered for an NIHR Funding for CRFs for Experimental Medicine award is Wednesday 14th December 2011 at 5:00pm.
